SHIFTING GEARS ROW’S Primary Aluminum Production Growth to Triple Ahead

SUMMARY: ROW’s primary aluminum production expanded in Q3 2023 and is on track to lead world primary aluminum production growth in 2024 for the first time in five years at a time when China’s seasonal production cuts continue. Meanwhile, Chinese smelting capacity additions remain limited, but smelting profitability is almost twice the historical average and primary aluminum production costs have fallen to two-year lows.
