Extruders demand for 5052 and 6061 scrap remains firm

Appetite for prompt delivery of 6061 pucks in US East Coast.

Additionally, as HARBOR promptly reported, the appetite for 5052 in the US South continues.  Intel on the ground has confirmed the price for prompt delivery of 5052 scrap units in the US South is 95 cent/lb which equates to 12.5 cent/lb below MWTP (LME+MWP) tightening by a half cent from last week. New bare 6061 extrusion scrap units in the US Midwest and US South regions continues to be in good demand from extruders with prices of 85 to 86 cent/lb delivered. This translates into a 21.5 cent/lb discount to MWTP (LME+MWP).

Low iron 6061 pucks promptly sought after on the US East Coast. We are hearing from multiple sources that low iron 6061 pucks are selling at 61 cent/lb with a 2% moisture allowance.
